The NEA Agenda

The National Education Association (NEA), the nation’s largest teacher union, holds an annual convention at which members vote on a wide variety of resolutions. It could be assumed that NEA resolutions would pertain to education ideas and reforms that would improve student academic excellence. Unfortunately, that is not always true. The resolutions passed in July 2006 reveal that the NEA seeks to improve, secure, and expand jobs for teachers while advancing a definite political agenda that is widely disseminated in classrooms across America.
